Cleburne Festival

This festival has been shut down due to the ignorance of people that believe that the Southern Heritage is something to be ashamed of.  The City of Cleburne and the Chamber of Commerce have withdrawn their support of this event that has celebrated General Patrick Cleburne's birthday for several years.

History today is being rewritten for the South, we are no longer allowed to take pride in what our forefathers fought for. They fought for a way of life, for the right to set the value for the cotton they produced and to separate from the control of Northern Industry. They did not fight to preserve slavery. The Stars and Bars never flew over slavery but Old Glory did for over 200 years.
